High Precision "Posi-Drive" Miniature Belts - Belt Width 1/8"

Belts are precision molded polyurethane elastomer that will not shrink or stretch. Superior flex. Excellent abrasion and ozone resistance.Polyester cord adds extra strength and load carrying capacities to the finished gear belt. Breaking point in an endless form 1" wide belt is 400 lbs.; 100 lbs. for a 1/4" wide belt. Safe in operating temperatures from minus 40° to plus 150°F. Low coefficient of friction maintains constant pulley gear contact. Also available are specials belts which will withstand 900lbs. (1" wide belts).

BELT DESCRIPTION:
1. Material
The belt is molded from polyurethane elastomer. The polyurethane has excellent flex, abrasion and ozone resistance and is unaffected by most oils.
The strength or load carrying member is polyester cord. The polyester cord gives high strength and high modulus to the finished gear belt.

2. Dimensions
The tooth pitch of the belt is .816" (distance from tooth to tooth when belt is flat). Example: A belt with 100 teeth has a pitch length of 100 x .0816" or 8.16". The tooth height is approximately .018" and the overall belt thickness is approximately .048"

3. Strength
The breaking strength of the gear belt in endless form one inch wide is 400 pounds. For a belt 1/4 inch wide the strength is 100 pounds.

TOLERANCES:
1. Length
The standard length tolerance is ±020" on center distance. Thus, drive designs should allow a minimum of ±.020" of center distance adjustment.

2. Width
The tolerance on slit width is 1/8". From 1/8" to 1" the slit width increments are in 16ths of an inch.
